Useful German Expression: “Wo auch immer” – this German phrase means “wherever” and can be used in almost the same way as its English counterpart:

“Du kannst arbeiten wo auch immer du willst.” – “You can work wherever you want.”
“Wo auch immer du bist, komm zurück!” – “Wherever you are, come back!”

In the extended “auch immer” family you can also find “wieso auch immer” / “weshalb auch immer” / “warum auch immer”, meaning “for whatever reason”.
